Responsibility & Action

Mar 1, 2026    Pastor Byron NeSmith

In times of unprecedented chaos and uncertainty, we find ourselves at a crossroads where God is actively shaking everything around us—not to destroy, but to make room for more. This powerful message reminds us that when God shakes things, He exposes what needs to be revealed, gets our attention away from distractions, and announces His presence. Drawing from Isaiah 60:21-22, we're reminded that we are called to possess the land, to be the branch of His planting, and the work of His hands so that He may be glorified. The central challenge before us is clear: we cannot allow the static of current events, the chaos of wars, or the manipulation of deceptive voices to pull us away from our identity in Christ. We're warned against four dangerous D's—depression, deception, disappointment, and discouragement—each designed by the enemy to derail us from our purpose. Yet through it all, we have a living hope that will never fade away. The message calls us to stand firm in humility, which isn't weakness but rather strength rooted in our security in Christ. Like David, we're invited to walk in courage, patience, repentance, and complete dependence on God's strength, recognizing that He has already overcome the world and everything we're facing today.
