Frequently Asked Questions
What time are Sunday services?
Our Sunday service meets at 11 AM. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to find a seat and meet some new people!
Where is LifeGate Church located?
LifeGate Church meets at 1945 Bees Ferry Rd., Charleston, SC 29414. We can’t wait to meet you!
What should I expect during a Sunday service?
A typical service includes worship through music, a message from the Bible, and a welcoming atmosphere where you can connect with others. Services usually last about 90 minutes, but may extend a little longer as the pastor follows the leading of the Holy Spirit. We’re open to whatever God wants to do in the moment, so feel free to relax and enjoy the experience as we follow His guidance.
What should I wear?
Come as you are! Whether you prefer jeans and a t-shirt or something more formal, you’ll find people dressed in all styles. We kindly ask that you dress appropriately out of respect for the worship environment.
Are kids welcome in the service?
Absolutely! We believe that children are a gift from God, and we love having them in our services. While we don’t currently offer a formal kids’ program or childcare, children are always welcome to attend the main service with their families. If you prefer, one of our trusted and dedicated kids volunteers can watch your little one in a separate area while you enjoy the service.
If you have a young baby, feel free to ask a team member for a seat toward the back—this can help protect their little ears from the music and give you an easy way to step out if needed.
We want your whole family to feel comfortable and at home at LifeGate! Our vision is to one day offer a full kids’ program where children can learn about Jesus in a fun and engaging way, and we look forward to growing into that in the future.

Will I be welcomed as a first-time guest?
We’re so glad you’re here! At LifeGate Church, we love meeting new faces. While we won’t put you on the spot, we’d be thrilled if you let someone from our greeting or pastoral team know it’s your first time. We’d love to personally welcome you, help you get settled, and make sure you feel right at home.
Will I be expected to give money?
No, there’s no expectation for first-time guests to give! Our desire is simply for you to feel welcome and enjoy the service. Giving is a way for our church family to worship and support the ministry, but as a guest, please don’t feel any pressure. If you feel led to give, you’re welcome to do so—but know that your presence is the most important thing to us!
