Chosen
This powerful message centers on what it truly means to be chosen by God, using a memorable illustration of a hamburger missing its main ingredient—the meat—to drive home a crucial point: we can go through all the religious motions, but without Jesus as our main ingredient, we have nothing of substance. Drawing from Ephesians 1 and the transformation of Saul to Paul, we're reminded that being chosen isn't just a nice theological concept—it's a concrete reality that changes everything about our identity and destiny. The message distinguishes between being called (God's invitation extended before the foundations of the earth) and being chosen (our acceptance of that invitation on His terms). When we accept Jesus on His terms, we step onto a narrow path, the Highway of Holiness described in Isaiah 35, where the enemy has no access and where God's promises become our inheritance. We're not just saved; we're set apart as God's treasured possession, a royal priesthood called to broadcast His glorious wonders. The sonship gifts—chosen, holy, blameless, adopted, accepted, redeemed—aren't abstract blessings but tangible realities that transform us from the inside out. This is about embracing our identity as children of God who are loved, protected, and empowered to represent His kingdom well.
