What We Gain in His Presence

Jul 20, 2025    Dr. Ron Hamilton

In our spiritual journey, we're called to seek God's face as our primary pursuit. This message emphasizes the transformative power of spending time in God's presence. The key scripture, Psalm 27:4, reveals David's singular focus: 'One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life.' As we make seeking God our priority, we accumulate His presence, love, grace, and peace. This pursuit isn't about doing, but about being - allowing God to affect our hearts deeply. Like Moses, who pitched the tent of meeting outside the camp, we're encouraged to create space for intimate encounters with God. As we gaze upon Him, we're transformed 'from glory to glory,' becoming more radiant and distinctive. This message challenges us to examine what's affecting our hearts and to guard them diligently, reminding us that as we seek God, He promises to reveal Himself and command His blessing upon us.
