One Thing

Jul 6, 2025    Dr. Ron Hamilton

Are we truly hungry for God's presence in our lives? This powerful message challenges us to examine our spiritual appetite and remove anything that clouds our vision of God. Drawing from Matthew 25's parable of the wise and foolish virgins, we're reminded of the importance of having our vessels full of spiritual oil. This oil represents our intimate relationship with God, which sustains us through divine delays and challenging times. We're encouraged to press in, to listen intently, and to incline our ear to God's voice. Just as Moses' face shone after encountering God's glory, we too can be transformed from glory to glory as we behold Him. Let's consider: What veils are hindering our intimacy with God? Are we allowing His presence to shape our identity, or are we distracted by serving and doing? As we hunger for more of God, He promises to fill us with His light, enabling us to shine in a darkening world.
